Try Using an Exciter

If your top end still isn't right despite your best efforts when working with EQ, you may want to try using an exciter or an enhancer. Whereas EQs can accentuate noise, and only amplify what's already there, Exciters can be used to raise the harmonics of the fundamental tones, brightening dull mixes. As with anything though, don't overdo it!
